Support for New Services

New Service Support is designed to provide professional advice and support to eligible services to assist with the establishment phase of their business development. The aim of this program is to help operators reduce operational risks and improve quality care outcomes.

The support is specifically targeted to the establishment and set-up phase of a new service.

The service must be:

  • Operational.
  • Registered with the National Child Care Accreditation Council (NCAC).
  • Receiving Child Care Benefit approval from the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR).

A service may also be in the process of:

  • Recently changing service type eg, transitioning from a Preschool to a Long Day Care model of service.
  • Extending their current service provision eg, creating first time offer of places for 0-2 year olds.
  • Establishing a new service for a particular licensee – whether this is a first or additional service.
