Information sessions are available for services covered by the Education and Care Services National Regulations.

Preschools and Long Day Care Services

Community Child Care Co-operative is running a series of Really Simple Regulations Sessions for preschools and LDC services. These sessions are jointly funded by the NSW Department of Education and Communities and Children's Services Central.

These sessions are designed to specifically assist NSW preschools and LDCs to become familiar with important components of the Regulation and are available in February and March 2012.

Out of School Hours Services

To support Out of School Hours Services transitioning to the National Quality Framework, Network, in partnership with the NSW Department of Education and Communities, are providing information seminars across 13 locations in NSW. These seminars are available in February and March 2012.

Out of Scope Services

Children’s Services Central is providing sessions designed to assist occasional care services, home based care services, MACS and mobile services to become familiar with the major changes to the State Law and Regulation which govern their operation. These sessions will support the services that are not within the scope of the NQF understand what is expected and required from them in regards to compliance. These sessions are available in late February 2012.

  2. Department of Education and Communities (DEC) website – www.educationandcommunities.nsw.gov.au DEC is the state Regulatory Authority in NSW. They will assess services under the NQF and is responsible for ensuring compliance with the Regulations.
  3. National Quality Framework hotline on 1800 181 088 is available to services. Translated information is available if you require information in a language other than English.
