Children’s Services Central, like the Professional Support Co-ordinators in other states, will have a key role in assisting services to implement the EYLF within their service; a range of training options are currently being developed.
Implementing the Early Years Learning Framework
Demand for courses on the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) – Australia’s first national framework for early childhood educators was overwhelming in the first six month of the year. All workshop sessions and learning programs on the Professional Development Calendar have foundations in the Framework and will enhance understanding of the elements of the EYLF.
Children’s Services Central presents specific support and development that will guide and assist educators in using and implementing the framework in their services. These include the courses:

- Implementing the EYLF at Service Level – A Webinar Series
- Practicing Early Years Learning Framework – An Intentional Teaching Approach
- The Art of Teaching – Exploring Early Years Learning Framework in a Family Day Care Context
- Leadership and the Early Years Learning Framework – a Whole Service Approach
- Documenting Children’s Learning and the Early Years Learning Framework
Participants are encouraged to take a copy of the EYLF to training. If your service does not already have a copy of the EYLF, you can call 1300 363 079 to request a copy (or copies).
Professional Support from DEEWR
The Educators’ Guide will be developed as a series of modules to explain, interpret and expand the Framework for early childhood educators. This resource will be distributed to services.
