Framework for School Age Care - My Time, Our Place
The Framework for School Age Care - My Time, Our Place (MTOP) supports and provides guidance for educators working with school age children. MTOP builds on the Early Years Learning Framework, extending on the “principles, practices and outcomes to the contexts and age range of the children and young people who attend school age care settings” (p. 3 MTOP). MTOP acknowledges the importance of play and leisure in children’s learning and development, while recognising the value of developing life skills.

My Time, Our Place Team Meeting Package
What is the Team Meeting Package?
The My Time, Our Place Team Meeting Package is a useful approach to helping middle childhood educators reflect upon My Time, Our Place, Framework For School Age Care In Australia, within the Out of School Hours Care setting. Key to successful implementation is the engagement of all educators and the leadership role taken by management and coordination teams.
This package provides a plan for looking at the framework within team meetings. This is not a formula or recipe for unpacking the framework - look upon it as some support for ongoing professional learning within the service.
Who is the package for?
The package is appropriate for middle childhood educators in all Out of School Hours Care Services and can be used by Family Day Care educators and Family Day Care Coordination Units.
