A Family Day Care Scheme is a network of experienced and registered carers who provide care for children in their own homes. Carers have been carefully selected and supervised, and operate under the Children's Services Regulation 2004. Carers and Scheme Units participate in the Accreditation process as set out by the National Childcare Accreditation Council (NCAC).
Children aged between the age of 6 weeks and 12 years are cared for in a small group setting and through the carers individualised programming, are encouraged to further develop their skills and knowledge.
