Children’s Services Central has developed a range of online training packages which can be undertaken by services during their own time and pace.

Children's Services Central online training system is available to users that have signed up to an online training course, and received their login code and password.

At times it is challenging for staff in children's services to attend training courses because of organisational issues. To respond to this, Children’s Services Central has developed a range of online training packages which can be undertaken by services during their own time and pace. At present there is no cost involved. Each module will take about one hour to complete. Participants will receive a Certificate of Participation.

Legal Responsibilities for Managers/Committee Members

This module is designed to provide learners with an overview of the responsibilities of licensees and managers of all types of children’s services. The session covers the roles and responsibilities of management, strategies to demonstrate compliance and ways to access helpful information and resources. The training is appropriate for newly appointed licensees managers, committee members and those interested in furthering their knowledge in this area.

Legal Responsibilities for Authorised Supervisor

This module is designed to provide an overview of the responsibilities of the Authorised Supervisor as defined by the NSW Children’s Services Regulation 2004. It covers basic understandings of the associated roles and responsibilities of the role, the skills to read and interpret the Regulation as they relate to the Authorised Supervisor role, strategies to demonstrate compliance and ways to access helpful information and resources.

Nutrition

This module is designed to provide learners with an overview of the nutritional requirements for children and menu planning. It covers the importance of providing good nutritional menus for children, ways to encourage children to develop good eating regimes, knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations and sections of the NCAC Accreditation System that relate to nutrition. Provides links to appropriate information and support agencies.
